SAVANNAH, Ga. () — Johnson High School had two more basketball student athletes put pen to paper to sign to play at the next level Thursday.

Senior Guard Samuel Priester signed to further his academic and athletic career at South Georgia Institute.

“Players from Savannah don’t always get noticed,” Priester remarked. “Therefore, having the opportunity to attend college tryouts is something I never imagined I’d do.”

Senior forward Shatiq Parker also signed on to play at the next level. Parker will be a student-athlete at New Rock Prep Academy.

“The best thing about my time at Johnson was the communication,” Parker stated. “I could truly be myself here. This school allows me to express my true self. I can connect with everyone and discuss anything I need to with my teachers and coaches.”

This makes three signings from this senior class.
