Arrest made in connection with 2024 Castle Rock Road murder

BEAUFORT COUNTY, S.C. – The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) has apprehended two individuals related to a shooting incident on Castle Rock Road in January 2024, which resulted in a fatality.

BCSO investigators issued and executed arrest warrants for Jeremiah Warren, aged 18, and Alex Bush, aged 20. Both individuals face charges for their roles in the murder of 14-year-old Jerrieme Jermaine Washington.

Jeremiah Warren was charged on Thursday, May 15, with:

  • Murder
  • Possession of a Weapon During a Violent Crime
  • Aggravated Breach of Peace

Jeremiah Warren was already detained at the Beaufort County Detention Center due to a murder charge from a separate incident in September 2024, in which 17-year-old Arianna Mulligan lost her life.

On May 10th, 2025, Alex Bush was charged with Accessory Before the Fact to a Felony.

Nashaun Benjamin (20) is also named as a suspect in the Castle Rock Road shooting. He is currently in Federal Custody on Weapon charges, but he will also be charged with:

  • Murder
  • Possession of a Weapon During a Violent Crime
  • Aggravated Breach of Peace
