ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Authorities in Orange County are on the lookout for a man who attempted an armed abduction of a woman roughly a week ago, based on reports from the sheriff’s office.
At approximately 10 a.m. on Sunday, May 11, a woman noticed a gray Toyota 4Runner repeatedly passing her as she walked her dog near Adanson Street and Lee Road. Suddenly, the vehicle blocked her route, as stated by the Orange County Sheriff’s Office on social media Friday.
The driver allegedly pointed a handgun at the woman and ordered her to get in the SUV, but the woman ran and the suspect drove off, the post states.
Authorities later found the 4Runner, which was stolen earlier that day, as per the sheriff’s office. Surveillance footage captured the suspect at the location of the vehicle theft. He is characterized by deputies as having black hair, an average physique, and possibly a tattoo on his left forearm.
Anyone who recognizes the man or or has any information that could help identify him is urged to contact the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, or Crimeline at 800-423-8477 to remain anonymous.
