Two women wanted for questioning in connection to suspicious death on Harding Road

AUGUSTA, Ga. () – The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office is seeking to question an additional individual in connection with a recent suspicious death.

Javon Latrelle Johnson, aged 38, is sought for questioning concerning the death of David Grigg, 62, which occurred at a residence on the 2200 block of Harding Road on May 13.

As reported by investigators, deputies were led to Grigg’s remains by a friend, discovering him in the front room of a house described as “unsafe, nasty, and uninhabitable.”

Johnson has a current outstanding warrant in Richmond County for a probation violation. He is known to frequent the areas around Harding Road, Balfour Road, and the 3000 block of Peach Orchard Road.

Earlier this week, investigators stated they were seeking to question two women in connection with the death. 34-year-old Jessica Renee Spurling and 48-year-old Kelly Noel McBurney are also wanted for questioning.

If anyone comes into contact with Johnson, Spurling or McBurney, or has information about their whereabouts, please contact Investigator Courtland Harris or any on-call investigator at the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office at 706-821-1455 or 706-821-1020.
