It’s been a week since Pheobe Bishop has been seen or heard from and police believe her disappearance is suspicious.
She had planned to fly to Western Australia through Brisbane last Thursday to see her boyfriend, but she did not board her flight at Bundaberg Airport.
A house in Gin Gin where Pheobe lived with a couple and a grey Hyundai ix35 are active crime scenes.
Police said her housemates were the last to see her when they said they dropped her outside Bundaberg Regional Airport in the Hyundai at 8.30am.
But Detective Acting Inspector Ryan Thompson yesterday said Pheobe never set foot inside the terminal where her flight was.
“Police have reviewed CCTV from the airport, which indicates that she did not enter the terminal,” Thompson said.
No one is in custody in relation to this investigation but police are speaking to people who know Pheobe.
Police are still reaching out to the public, asking for any dashcam or CCTV footage of the grey Hyundai ix35 with Queensland plates 414EW3 around the Airport Drive and Samuels Road vicinity in Bundaberg, as well as the Gin Gin area on May 15.
Thompson said public information is vital in piecing together Pheobe’s movements on May 15.
“You may have the small piece of information that leads us to finding Pheobe,” he said.
“People don’t vanish â someone knows something and we’re urging anyone with information to contact police immediately.”
Family members have handed out more than 400 missing person flyers across Bundaberg and Gin Gin and have been searching rivers and bushland.
Pheobe is described as approximately 180cm tall with a pale complexion, long dyed red hair, and hazel eyes.
She was last seen carrying luggage and wearing a green tank top and grey trackpants.
