() Doorbell camera footage shows a fire in the streets of a San Diego neighborhood after a small plane crashed, causing multiple fires and evacuating around 100 people.
The Federal Aviation Administration reported that the plane was carrying six passengers. Authorities originally reported two deaths, but the National Transportation Safety Board now says the number of fatalities is unknown.
The plane, which took off from New Jersey and stopped to refuel in Wichita, Kansas, crashed into the military neighborhood around 3:45 a.m. PT on Thursday. Investigators say it struck a power line about two miles away before crashing.
At least one home and multiple vehicles were set on fire, and neighbors sounded the alarm, helping each other evacuate.
Around 100 people were displaced following the crash, which damaged multiple homes and caused a large debris field.
One of the dead is pilot Dave Shapiro, 42, a music agent whose clients have included Hanson, Vanessa Carlton and Sum 41. Sound Talent Group confirmed his death and said two other employees were also on the plane.
Former drummer for The Devil Wears Prada, Daniel Williams, is also believed to have died in the crash.
The NTSB is investigating the cause of the crash.
