Numerous police officers and SES volunteers dedicated the day to searching a field in Sydney’s south-west following the discovery of a father’s body.
His body was discovered in a field in Minto yesterday morning.
The 20-year-old father of two had initially been reported missing on March 1.
He was last seen walking down Sackville Street in Ingleburn asking for help before borrowing a phone to call his step father.
He told him he was in a fight and needed help.
“My concern is has that fight led to my son’s death,” mother Alanai-Brie Wallace said.
Among the people searching for him was Brittany Ellis
“I was standing 950 metres away from him. We were close I think that’s the hardest part knowing how close,” she said.
“How he got here, how no one seen him get here.”
She laid flowers on behalf of Harwood’s mother.
Officers and SES volunteers were searching the area looking for answers.
His mother appealed for help.
“If you know something come forward. If you’ve done something, you will be held accountable,” she said.
“I will do all I can to keep his name alive in his little girls’ lives.”
