KYIV – A Ukrainian official said Monday that an overnight Russian drone attack on Ukraine was the biggest of the three-year war.
The Russian bombardment included 355 drones, Yuriy Ihnat, head of the Ukrainian air force’s communications department, told The Associated Press.
Ukrainian authorities stated that Russia launched nine cruise missiles during the attack on Sunday night. According to officials, some civilians sustained injuries, although no fatalities were immediately reported.
During a massive combined drone-and-missile attack on Saturday night, Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, along with other regions, was targeted, resulting in the deaths of at least 12 people and injuring dozens more. Ukrainian officials characterized this as Russia’s largest aerial offensive in the conflict.
The numbers could not be independently verified.
There was no immediate comment from Russian authorities.
