Paul George reveals epic burn from 76ers fan while he was stuck in traffic

Paul George Shares Hilarious Encounter with 76ers Fan During Traffic Jam

Everyone knows that Philadelphia fans can be ruthless, and Paul George learned that while he was in the car this past year.

In January, a video emerged showing Paul George sitting in his car, caught in a traffic jam due to the celebration of the Eagles’ NFC Championship victory.

But the 76ers star revealed during his “Podcast P” show that he had gotten roasted by a fan amid the celebration while he sat there in his vehicle.

Recounting the event on a podcast, George said, “As soon as I rolled my window down, fans recognized me and yelled, ‘Yo, that’s Paul George!’” He humorously added that someone commented, “We could’ve kept Tobias [Harris] if you’re going to pull this kind of stunt.”

The story had George and Carmelo Anthony, who was on the latest episode, laughing particularly hard.

George then added that as soon as he got home, he was looking for a basketball.

“I got to the crib, found the closest basketball,” he joked. “Let me get right.”

“For me, that was the beauty of playing in a big city,” Anthony said. “I know they going to keep me sharp. No matter what, I got to stay sharp.”

While Harris may have caught a stray in the story, George clarified that he wasn’t trying to take a shot at the former 76ers player.

“Shoutout [Tobias Harris]. It ain’t no joke at TB,” George said.

Later that day, Harris joined in on the fun by posting on X, humorously noting that the 76ers only won four out of their next 27 games following the parade.

Harris spent six seasons with the 76ers before signing with the Pistons last offseason.

George spent last season in Philly after signing a four-year, $212 million max contract, though he was plagued by injuries in his first year in the City of Brotherly Love and logged just 41 games.
