BRUNSWICK, Ga. () — Just in time for the next big summer holiday, Buc-ee’s in Brunswick has officially announced its opening date.

The massive travel stop store, renowned for its numerous gas pumps, souvenirs, wide array of food options, and, of course, its beaver mascot, began construction on the Brunswick site over a year ago. Now, the official opening is scheduled for July 1.

During the groundbreaking, Buc-ee’s president Arch Aplin discussed why they chose the Brunswick area to build Georgia’s third Buc-ee’s location.

“The local community has been very welcoming to us, and there’s a strong employment base here. We believe this store is within a reasonable distance to tap into the substantial hiring pool, and we’re thrilled to bring jobs to Georgia along this coastal highway. We enjoy doing business in Georgia, and as this is our third store, we’re very excited about it.”

The 74,000 square foot Buc-ee’s in Brunswick is expected to employ more than 200 people and bring in $30 million in sales every year.
