Whoopi Goldberg openly displayed her lack of interest during Wednesday’s episode of The View when the hosts discussed another non-political Hot Topic in their morning segment.

Following a segment where Goldberg and her co-hosts criticized President Donald Trump for granting pardons to reality TV personalities Todd and Julie Chrisley, the group pivoted to why Gen Z college students are enrolling in “adulting 101 classes.”

Goldberg visibly expressed her skepticism towards the subject as she informed The View audience that these courses teach college students practical life skills like changing a tire, sewing, managing finances, and more.

“You know, in the old days when I was younger it used to be called home economics, damn it!” she said in a comically aged voice. “Do they need to be going to school for this?”

Sara Haines responded by looking back on her own time taking home economics class in school where she learned how to sew a pillow and make “puppy chow.” But as she recounted her experience, Goldberg boldly put her head down on The View table and pretended to fall asleep.

This isn’t the first time Goldberg has made her opinions on Gen Z clear on the show. She once scolded Millennials and Zoomers for not working hard enough to achieve the American Dream.

“Every generation comes and wants to do better than their parents did. Every generation,” she said. “But I’m sorry. If you only want to work four hours, it’s gonna be harder for you to get a house.”

She added, “I feel for everybody that feels this but I’m sorry, we busted our behinds. We had to bust our behinds because we didn’t have the option of going back.”

When Alyssa Farah Griffin reminded Goldberg that her generation is dealing with the housing crisis among several other variables, Goldberg was not moved.

“You know what? That’s what they said to us as well,” Goldberg said. “Every generation is told, ‘You’re gonna do worse than your parents.’ And you know what? People pick it up and they do what they do and they raise themselves and this is what you gotta do. It’s called being a good citizen.”

The View airs on weekdays at 11/10c on ABC.
