Johnson Co. woman arrested on 10 counts of Child Molestation

WRIGHTSVILLE, Ga. () – Jennifer Hernandez, aged 37, was taken into custody on May 21st by the Ware County Sheriff’s Office located in Waycross, GA. She faced an outstanding felony arrest warrant issued by the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office.

Hernandez was charged with 10 counts of Child Molestation and is currently in Johnson County Sheriff’s Office – Danny Elbert Detention Center.

This arrest originated from information obtained by the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office on April 4th, 2025. The Criminal Investigation Division worked over the past month gathering information and evidence concerning this case and a warrant was issued for an arrest..

The investigation revealed that between June 2022 and September 2022, the suspect made contact with the then 9-year-old victim and touch them in a sexual manner.

“I hope this arrest sends a loud and clear message: the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office has a ZERO-tolerance policy for exploitation of children. We will continue to work diligently to stop these predators. Johnson County is a great community and we will work relentlessly to ensure that it remains a safe place for our children, “Sheriff Greg Rowland remarked.

At this time the investigation is ongoing.
