“Right from the start, when I proposed the series, I envisioned it spanning five seasons, as I felt uncertain about the story extending beyond that,” Raising Kanan showrunner Sascha Penn mentioned to Deadline. “The audience knows the conclusion of Kanan’s story, which has always been the hurdle for us: if you know the end, will you still be engaged with the journey? Thankfully, viewers have been. Five seasons seemed appropriate to me.”

When Does Raising Kanan Return With New Episodes?

Production on Season 5 has already wrapped, but no official premiere date has been announced. The third season of Raising Kanan ended in February 2024, with Season 4 premiering in March 2025. Based on everything we know, we expect the fifth and final season to debut in early to mid-2026 on Starz.
