Almost two months have passed since the Below Deck Mediterranean crew member shared her joyous news about expecting her first child with Nathan Gallagher. Since the announcement, she has kept her followers updated regularly, sharing details of her journey, including her expanding baby bump and attending ultrasound appointments. She has also talked about her pregnancy cravings and wardrobe challenges. Gael’s posts often carry a delightful mix of sweetness and humor as she highlights common pregnancy hurdles and amusing online trends, such as time-traveling transition reels.

She expressed her eagerness by writing, “We’re in a place where we just want him out and can’t wait to see him,” in a May 7 Instagram post, “but at the same time know we’re not quite fully prepared yet and hope he brews for a while longer.”

In her playful manner, Gael also humorously likened herself to Humpty Dumpty and posted a funny but relatable video about her baby’s movements in response to her indulging in sweet treats.

“Bub wants out, mum wants to breath [sic],” she wrote in a May 17 Reel, “but maybe just brew a little longer little one.”

Shortly after confirming the pregnancy news, Gael and Nathan announced they were expecting a baby boy. The couple shared the big reveal in an April 2 Instagram video of them enjoying a beach picnic before shooting blue confetti into the air.

“The moment our hearts grew even bigger…,” they captioned the heartwarming Reel. “Our little boy. We can’t wait to share our world, our laughter, and all of life’s wild adventures with you, little one. Our greatest journey yet is just beginning.”

Gael and Nathan were introduced in Below Deck Mediterranean Season 9, when they joined the Mustique deckhand crew. The couple ended the charter season on a positive note and embarked on a travel adventure shortly after production wrapped; however, it wasn’t long before they ultimately called it quits, citing concerns over their communication and long distance. (Gael was primarily based in Australia, while Nathan lived in Ireland.)

“I just started second-guessing everything,” Nathan recalled on the Below Deck Mediterranean After Show. “The distance [was] difficult.”

Gael said she “knew something was up” when she hadn’t heard from Nathan for a couple of weeks.

“He just ghosted me,” she said. “And then eventually, I was like, ‘Dude, what’s going on? I’m worried something’s happened.’ And then he was like, ‘My ex has called me and I want to give it another go.’”

The couple eventually rekindled their romance in the summer of 2024 and have been going strong ever since.
