Ribfest Chicago to celebrate 25 years on city's North Side

Sweet Baby Ray’s, the presenting sponsor of this year’s event, is celebrating 40 years and its Chicago roots.

The festival runs Friday through Sunday at 4000 N. Lincoln Avenue, located at Lincoln/Irving Park/Damen roads.

Visitors will have the chance to savor offerings from top BBQ vendors who serve their signature ribs and side dishes while vying for two Ribfest Chicago Best of awards: the People’s Choice selected by attendees and a prestigious prize awarded by a celebrity judge panel.

Sample ribs from a variety of vendors including Armadillo’s BBQ, Aussom Aussie BBQ, Austin Texas Lightning, Baby Gold BBQ, Big City BBQ, Chicago BBQ Company, Lexington Betty Smokehouse, Mr. Greens BBQ (the reigning People’s Choice Winner), Salt Creek BBQ, Johnson’s BBQ Ribs, and Robinson’s #1 Ribs.

Families will find enjoyment in the extensive kids’ area featuring inflatables and games. For an elevated experience, attendees can purchase VIP Passes, providing access to the VIP Lounge Tent which includes private seating, restrooms, charging stations, a swag bag, drink tickets, and additional perks!

Ribfest Chicago continues to be Chicago’s most anticipated street festival, welcoming BBQ fans from all over to celebrate the summer at this three-day event!
