FDA Head Shuts Down CBS News' Brennan When She Tries to Push the 'COVID Shot for Young, Healthy Kids'

The past few days simply have not been the CBS network’s best.

Initially, there was the news of President Trump turning down a settlement offer for a defamation lawsuit against the network, as highlighted by my media-centric associate, Brad Slager, on Friday. The offer made by CBS’ parent company, Paramount Global, was a sizeable $15 million. Such an amount could be quite useful someday, wouldn’t you agree?

Later on Sunday, during the esteemed CBS News program “Face The Nation,” host Margaret Brennan engaged in a discussion with Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent regarding the Trump economy amidst ongoing tariff talks. Brennan attempted to challenge Bessent on whether consumers would face a scarcity of products on store shelves or increased prices.

Bessent was not easily swayed, leaving Brennan to remain silent as he countered, “Margaret, back in March, you predicted significant inflation, but it hasn’t occurred. In fact, the inflation rates are currently the best they’ve been in four years.”
