Jessica Simpson seemed to be enjoying the single life as she stepped out in Los Angeles over the weekend for a good cause.
The singer, 44, who made her first TV performance in some 15 years on American Idol in May, spent some time hanging out with host Vas J. Morgan, 36, at the annual We Matter x Limitless event in West Hollywood.
The Breadcrumbs artist, who announced her split from husband Eric Johnson, 45, in January, showcased her lithe limbs in a short black silky nightie slip dress with black stockings and patent leather boots.
The People’s Choice Award winner added a feather stole to boost the glamour and carried a large black purse.
Simpson’s long, champagne blonde hair was styled in loose waves and she wore natural looking makeup with a soft pink lip.

‘That show was created as a vehicle to launch music,’ the I Do singer explained on the Richer Lives by SoFi podcast.
‘My ex-wife had an album coming out, I had an album coming out. “Oh, we’ll do a little six-episode thing about our albums coming out to promote our music.”‘ he said of his concept of the show.
‘We had no idea it was going to take on this other life of being this reality, fly-on-the-wall type of show. So, that was totally unexpected,’ he said of the series’ success.
The show ended in 2005 and so did their marriage.
Lachey and his wife Vanessa, are now the hosts of another reality show, Love in Blind.
Simpson launched The Jessica Simpson Collection in 2005, which includes clothes, shoes, accessories, perfume, and luggage which is now worth an estimated $200 million.
