WENATCHEE, Wash. (WJW) Authorities in Washington state are searching for three young sisters who didn’t return home after a planned visitation with their father.
According to a news release from the Wenatchee Police Department, all three girls were last seen around 5 p.m. on May 30 when they left their home with their father. Officials are now asking for help in finding the girls, who are unable to return home on their own.
“They have not returned, and contact cannot be made with the father,” police said.
According to the release, the father is homeless and lives in his vehicle or at various hotels, motels and campgrounds. He was identified as Travis Decker.
It is not normal for Decker to go outside of the parameters of the parenting plan, police said, and it is a cause for alarm, they added.
“The current investigation has not met AMBER Alert criteria, but the situation is being monitored closely,” the release said.
An Endangered Missing Person Alert has been issued by the Washington State Patrol.
The Wenatchee Police Department asks that anyone who sees the victims or the father call 911 or RiverCom at 509-663-9911.
