More than 360 people are currently considered missing in Western Australia, with many vanishing without a trace over the past 70 years.
One of those people is Rigby Mark Fielding.
The 53-year-old was last seen in East Perth in 2015 after telling his family he was heading home to Rockingham.
He never made it back, and a few of his belongings were later found in bushland in Kiwana.
“My brother didn’t go missing into thin air. Something dreadful happened to him, and I need to know what that was,” his sister Stephenie Fielding said.
There is a record $500,000 reward on offer for anyone who has information that helps solve his case.
Rigby’s loved ones said they would not stop searching until they found answers.
To help find the state’s long-term missing persons, Crime Stoppers WA has launched a fresh four-week television and social media campaign.
It is calling on family, friends and colleagues to ask themselves if they saw or heard something that could help solve a case.
“This initiative aims to generate new leads and provide resolutions for those left without answers,” WA Police Major Crimes Division Acting Detective Superintendent David Gorton said.
