SANGAMON COUNTY, Ill. (WCIA) — The 75th annual Sangamon County Fair is set to kick off this week, offering a lineup that includes music, livestock exhibitions, a demolition derby, and much more.
The fair will take place from June 11 to June 15 at the fairgrounds in New Berlin. Organizers mentioned that visitors can look forward to a variety of displays showcasing everything from the arts, culinary delights, to horticulture projects.
The event lineup includes:
- Thursday, June 12: Full Throttle Monster Trucks at 7 p.m.
- Friday, June 13: Tracy Byrd with Jake Worthington at 7 p.m.
- Saturday, June 14: Sangamon County Fair Rodeo at 7 p.m.
- Sunday, June 15: Demolition Derby at 5 p.m.
New for this year, fair organizers said, additional seats have been added to accommodate more visitors for the grandstand events.
Additional events during the fair include the Miss Sangamon County Queen Pageant on June 11 at 7 p.m., the State-qualifying Lego competition in the Commercial Building at 3 p.m. on June 14, and the Father’s Day Car Show, which will run from 9 a.m. to noon on June 15.
The carnival will also be back this year. All-day sessions are available for $30 each day or $120 for a week pass. A sensory-friendly carnival will be available from 3 to 6 p.m. on June 11.
Organizers also said that a full lineup of local, live music is scheduled in the Warren Boynton State Bank Pavilion. Performers include Deja Voodoo, Brushville, The Longmeyer Band, Neon Rodeo-90s Country Tribute, Menace to Sobriety, Lick Creek, Alex Pearce and Bustin’ Loose.
Fair admission will cost $5 for ages 5 and up and parking will be $10 per vehicle. Fair organizers said free parking is available nearby. Each grandstand event requires a separate ticket. Tickets can be purchased on the fair’s website.
