A man’s body has been uncovered in Los Angeles near where rioters looted businesses as protests over Donald Trump’s ICE raids rage on.

Cops discovered the unresponsive man at around 1:30 am on Tuesday morning.

A chilling video captured cops standing over the man as he lay on his back wearing a red sweatshirt, KTLA reported.

Officials brought over a canopy to cover the man and later confirmed that he was dead, the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed to the outlet.

Detectives are investigating the death and are looking into whether it’s related to any protests or looting.

The man was found at an intersection near a T-Mobile store that criminals raided after the protests broke out.

Tensions are mounting in the City of Angels as thousands of National Guard troops clash with furious crowds protesting Trump’s immigration crackdown.

California Governor Gavin Newsom continues to spar with Trump after the president sent federal soldiers without his permission.

Newsom claims that the protests were peaceful until Trump “instigated violence,” he wrote on X.

“Don’t give him the excuse he’s looking for,” fumed the governor on social media.

Meanwhile, Trump has defended his decision as he battles a lawsuit filed by California that accuses him of breaking the 10th Amendment.

The president insisted that Los Angeles would have “burned to the ground” if he and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth hadn’t sent the troops.

“Call your incompetent governor and mayor, the federal permitting is done,” blasted Trump on Truth Social.

PROTEST DAMAGE

Waymo’s self-driving vehicles have been set on fire, police officers have been targeted with rocks, and protesters have suffered injuries from rubber bullets during the widespread unrest throughout the city.

During the chaos, a CNN reporter was arrested on live television and taken away with his hands restrained behind him, as officers began arresting demonstrators who did not comply with orders to leave by Monday night.

So far, Trump has sent 4,000 National Guard troops to the city and deployed 700 Marines from a base about two hours outside the city.

While Newsom insists that the city doesn’t need additional help, the LAPD admitted they’re overwhelmed by the unrest.

LAPD Chief Jim McDonnell described some of the criminal behavior as “disgusting” and mentioned that the demonstrations have become “increasingly worse and more violent,” according to KNBC.

“We are overwhelmed,” he said on Sunday.

“Tonight, we had individuals out there shooting commercial-grade fireworks at our officers. That can kill you.”

Meanwhile, California’s governor said Trump’s crackdown “isn’t about public safety. It’s about stroking a dangerous president’s ego.

“This is reckless. Pointless. And disrespectful to our troops.”
