Jennifer Hudson and her rapper boyfriend Common are going strong.

The 42-year-old talk show host — who shared a throwback snap from her American Idol elimination 20 years ago — told People at the 2024 Daytime Emmy Awards on Friday that she felt ‘wonderful.’

‘Everything is wonderful,’ Hudson gushed to the outlet, ‘That’s all you need to know.’

The couple initially sparked romance rumors back in 2022 after a decade of friendship.

They confirmed their relationship to the public back in January when Common appeared on The Jennifer Hudson Show. 

During the episode, Common came in with a bouquet of flowers for the raven haired beauty as they chatted up their love lives.

‘I’m in a relationship… with one of the most beautiful people I ever met in life,’ the rapper said without naming a specific person.

‘She’s smart, she loves God, she has something real down-to-earth about her, she’s talented,’ he went on before joking that he would prefer his partner be an EGOT winner — something Hudson has already accomplished. 

Common then asked Hudson how her relationship was going, to which she responded saying she was ‘very happy.’

‘This relationship is a happy place for me,’ Common then said of his own. ‘Seeing her happy actually makes me really happy.

‘So, I’m very grateful. I thank God each and every day, and I’m just letting God guide this relationship,’ he said in reference to Hudson.

He later sat down on Today with Hoda & Jenna to discuss their tight knit and ‘private’ relationship.

‘We had a little fun,’ the rapper said of being on his partner’s talk show. ‘I felt like, why not just be loving and honest with who I am and who we are. And it felt good, it was fun, we had a good time.’

He noted that he is ‘very private’ person when it comes to ‘things that are sacred,’ but shared that they ‘had a good time’ filming together.

The pair first sparked dating rumors October of 2022 when they were spotted enjoying time together in their hometown of Chicago after filming Breathe (2022).

Back in January the three-time Grammy winner raved that he has ‘grown’ a lot and ‘the work’ he’s done on himself ‘has allowed’ him to see himself as ‘a marrying type.

‘I am the type that, I’m capable and I have the capacity, and if at some point in my life I may want to do that, I would know when the right time is,’ he gushed during the interview.

‘For me, everything is divine,’ he said. ‘I work from that discernment that God speaks — when He speaks into your stomach and you feel it in your heart and your spirit, so when I would feel that, I will communicate with that person and if she’s feeling that, then why not?’
