Though Steven Universe’s time on Cartoon Network has come and gone, Amazon is stepping in to keep the story going.

At the Annecy Animation Festival this year, Rebecca Sugar, known for creating Steven Universe, revealed that Amazon is moving ahead with a new spin-off series centered around the character Lars Barriga. This series, called Lars of the Stars, will explore Lars’ space adventures as he, along with his pirate crew, tries to escape the authorities and uncover the deepest secrets of the fallen Gem Empire, according to Deadline.

Although Amazon hasn’t officially approved Lars of the Stars yet, Sugar is set to be the executive producer along with Ian Jones-Quartey. There’s no information available about which original cast members might return or the show’s release date. However, during her presentation at Annecy, Sugar expressed her excitement, stating she “can’t wait to share [the sequel] with you and can’t thank you enough for all your support.”
