Jose Mourinho has already got plans to make his first signing at Fenerbahce – but needs some help from Real Madrid.
Mourinho was a shock appointment at Fenerbahce last week, just a day after appearing as a pundit on TNT Sports for the Champions League final.

Jose Mourinho, known as the Special One, has signed a two-year contract with the Turkish football giants after being unemployed since January following his departure from AS Roma. He is already strategizing significant moves for the upcoming transfer window.
According to Diario AS, via @theMadridZone, Mourinho has asked Real Madrid if they could sign Arda Guler on loan for next season.
The Portuguese manager, who helmed Real Madrid from 2010 to 2013, is eager to strengthen his squad. Meanwhile, Guler just joined Real from Fenerbahce last year.
However, the 19-year-old, who has been called the ‘Turkish Messi’, has had a tough time breaking into the first-team at Madrid in his debut campaign.
The teenager penned a six-year contract with Los Blancos in July 2023 but has had a series of injuries that have disrupted his time at Real so far.
It has restricted the wonderkid to 10 appearances in LaLiga but he has still had an impact, scoring six times in 330 minutes of action.
The arrival of Kylian Mbappe, as well as Endrick, could give Guler further problems breaking into the first team under Carlo Ancelotti.
Mourinho has even spoken out about signing Guler this summer, though the tone was somewhat jokey.

Mourinho stated, “If he wants to come… but honestly, when you’re at Real Madrid, a European champion, facing world-class teams, and you’re still young, it seems unlikely you’d consider returning.”
“But if he loves the club where he grew up and wants to come, on a free loan, and if Real Madrid pays 75 per cent of his salary, we wouldn’t say no,” he added with a laugh.
Mourinho has already ruled out moves for Romelu Lukaku and Paulo Dybala, who he worked with at Roma.
In his first press conference as Fenerbahce manager, the former Manchester United, Tottenham and Chelsea boss said: “Names of my previous players, previous club, I want to make it 100 percent my word.
“I have zero interest in every player or any player from AS Roma, zero interest.
“It’s not the time to rush. Not time to feel emotions. It is time to come and to make the things right which is what we try to do.”
