Footage obtained by 9News showed him grabbing trays of jewellery from the table during a short confrontation with the shopkeeper.

The mother of three tried to leave, but he wouldn’t let her pass.

All the while, shoppers went past without noticing the terror unfolding inside the store.

The individual escaped via a fire escape leading to Pitt Street, where his e-scooter was thought to be stationed, allegedly making off with jewelry valued at over $100,000.

According to 9News, CCTV footage also caught the same suspect inside the nearby Woolworths and Big W, where he reportedly pilfered a pair of gloves prior to executing the heist.

Police executed a search warrant yesterday morning at a unit on Kellick Street in Waterloo.

Police said they found 42 pieces of jewellery, a glock pistol, and ID documents with different names.

The suspect returned to the unit at 3pm, and was arrested.

He was charged with robbery and breaching bail.

He was set to appear in Parramatta Bail Court today.
