Cristiano Ronaldo is renowned for several remarkable attributes: his extraordinary athletic prowess, possessing one of football’s most impressive leaps, and an uncanny ability to score a wealth of goals.

Additionally, he is celebrated for a legendary goal celebration, where he jumps into the air, lands with his arms positioned by his sides, and loudly exclaims “SIUUUUUU.”

Although the exact meaning remains a mystery, this hasn’t deterred admirers and fellow players globally from imitating it. The latest to mimic this iconic move is Ronaldo’s own son, Cristiano Ronaldo Jr.

The 14-year-old hit the celebration not once, but twice after scoring in Portugal’s Under-15s clash against Croatia at the Vlatko Markovic International Tournament.

For his first goal, Ronaldo Jr. rifled a fierce left-footed shot from a tight angle inside the box. His second came with a well-timed header into an empty net to cap off a slick team move.

He marked both goals with his dad’s trademark celebration, with a few of his teammates even joining in.

Portugal’s national team and Ronaldo himself shared the clips on Instagram, proudly captioning:

“Cristiano Jr.’s first two SIUUUU for Portugal!”

Ronaldo Jr.’s first goals for Portugal came just days after making his international debut against Japan.

The teenager started on the bench but was brought on in the 54th minute, helping Portugal cruise to a 4-1 victory.

As you’d expect, his father was beaming with pride. Sharing a series of photos of his son in action on social media, the Al Nassr star wrote: “Congratulations on your Portugal debut, son. Very proud of you!”

It’s still early days, but Ronaldo Jr.’s strong start at international level suggests he’s ready to start carving out a reputation of his own.
