Our Tuesday nights are missing a visit from an old friend: The Rookie.
The finale of the seventh season of the widely-loved procedural starring Nathan Fillion was broadcast in May on ABC. So, what can fans expect from Season 8 of The Rookie? Showrunner Alexi Hawley recently shared insights with TVLine regarding Wesley’s (played by Shawn Ashmore) potential run for District Attorney.
Hawley explained to TVLine, “We’re exploring the direction of that storyline. Given Wesley’s background as a defense attorney who is passionate about correcting the injustices within the justice system, it’s a logical step for him. As an assistant DA, his influence is limited, but becoming the DA would allow him to instigate real change. We’re definitely considering this possibility.”
