JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A man is fighting for his life after being shot on Thursday afternoon in Jacksonville’s Mid-Westside, and the police are actively seeking the suspects involved.
The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office reports that the incident occurred at around 2:45 p.m. on the 2100 block of West 13th Street. Investigators revealed that the victim was sitting in his carport when two individuals caught him off guard, shooting him from behind.
After the shooting, the suspects escaped in a black sedan. The victim, an adult male, was rushed to a nearby hospital where he remains in critical but stable condition as of Thursday evening.
Police have not released a description of the suspects or vehicle beyond the color of the car. Anyone with information about the shooting is urged to contact the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office or CrimeStoppers.
