DANVILLE, Ill. (WCIA) — The Danville Farmers Market is taking extra steps to make sure everybody can have access to fresh products.

This weekend marks the launch of the Personal Shopper Program, designed to assist those who find it difficult to navigate the market on their own by allowing them to order up to five items each visit.

President of the Danville Farmers Market board, Susan Franklin, said it’s built with convenience in mind for those who need it.

“Our community includes many older individuals who face mobility challenges; we have several who have significant mobility difficulties. This program will be fantastic for seniors,” Franklin explained. “It’s also beneficial for parents who prefer not to unload their children from car seats. Plus, it’s ideal for anyone who wants a quick visit, who might struggle with the heat, the sun, or other distractions.”

It’s a busy week for the Farmers Market. The program starts on Saturday and this Wednesday is the start of ‘Wednesday Night Markets.’
