CAT kicks off community engagement series

The Chatham Area Transit Authority (CAT) in Savannah, Georgia, has launched its summer program titled “CAT Chats: Your Ride, Your Voice,” designed to connect with residents throughout Chatham County.

The first CAT Chats will take place on June 25 at the W.W. Law Community Center on E. Bolton St. in Savannah from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The sessions are divided into two segments, where CAT representatives will engage directly with the local community. The first segment will offer a concise presentation about CAT’s services, upcoming changes, and projects. The latter segment focuses on gathering input from the public, featuring an open Q&A with CAT executives and staff, and providing a chance for attendees to submit written feedback.

“Public transit is most effective when it aligns with the needs of its users,” said Stephanie Cutter, the Interim Executive Director/CEO. “Through CAT Chats, we are fostering an environment for open conversations—engaging with the community directly and hearing what is most important to them.”

CAT will continue hosting these community conversations at additional locations throughout the summer:

  • Liberty City Community Center – 1401 Mills B Ln Blvd.
    • Wednesday, July 23, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
  • TBD
    • Wednesday, August 27, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.

All community members are encouraged to attend and ask questions. For more information, click here or call (912) 233-5767.
