Despite the success of the preemptive strike against the antisemitic, America-hostile Islamic Republic, which seems to have enhanced global security, the usual dissenting voices within the party can’t tolerate the notion of the U.S. succeeding.
The well-regarded philosopher and legal thinker, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), promptly deemed it an impeachable action by the commander-in-chief:
🚨 UNBELIEVABLE: AOC is advocating for President Trump’s impeachment after his decision to safeguard American interests by targeting Iran’s nuclear facilities. pic.twitter.com/ZZbDwlUME3

Wow, AOC—could this be worse than the phone call he had with another head of state that you guys tried to impeach him for the first time? Because that was oh-so-dastardly. Maybe you can be the lead impeachment manager; that would be some epic theater.
But she’s not the only Democrat gnashing her teeth this Saturday night; former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s failed replacement, Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY), also has really hurt feelings:

“First, the Trump administration bears the heavy burden of explaining to the American people why this military action was undertaken,” the feckless lawmaker wrote. It reads like parody. There are very few adult Americans who don’t know that Iran has been calling for death to America for almost 50 years and is close to acquiring nuclear weaponry. Not only do they pose an existential threat to Israel, but they are a clear and present danger to the U.S. as well. Does Hakeem think we’re all in kindergarten?
You knew ever-aggrieved schoolmarm Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) would have to jump in and attempt to rap the knuckles of Trump, because that is one of the few things she seems to do anymore.

“This is a horrific war of choice,” Warren wailed. However, it is not a “war,” it was an action, and one that is arguably long overdue, as president after president has punted the issue down the road for over four decades.
