Travis Page holds the position of District Attorney for the Thirty-Eighth Prosecutorial District, which includes Gaston County. His appointment was made by North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper after the retirement of the Honorable Locke Bell in July 2021. A member of the Republican Party, Page sought election in November 2022.
Before his appointment, Page was a Partner at the law firm Arthurs & Foltz, LLP. His career history also includes experience as an Adjunct Professor at Cleveland Community College and as an Assistant District Attorney in both Gaston and Wake counties.
Page completed his high school education at Cherryville High School in 2002. Four years later, he graduated with honors from Appalachian State University in Boone, earning a bachelor’s degree in political science along with minors in criminal justice and business administration. In 2009, Page obtained his law degree from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill School of Law and became licensed to practice law after passing the North Carolina Bar Examination the same year.
Page interned with the Wake County District Attorney’s Office while in law school and he took his first job with the office after graduation. In November 2010, he became an Assistant District Attorney in the Gaston County District Attorney’s Office. As a prosecutor working under Locke Bell, Page handled thousands of cases, ranging from traffic matters and DWIs to serious felonies.
In 2012, Page accepted a position with Arthurs and Foltz LLP, where he has practiced law from August 2012 – July 2021 and where he has been a partner for the past four and a half years.
Appointment
In June 2021, Page was appointed by Gov. Roy Cooper to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of Locke Bell. He took the oath of office as Gaston County’s district attorney on August 2, 2021. The unexpired term Page filled ended in December of 2022. In November of 2022, Page ran for election for the Thirty-Eighth Prosecutorial District.
