Mark Penn Describes NYC Dem Primary System 'Changes' and How the Results Have the Party Panicking

Since the presidential election last November, the Democratic Party’s struggles have been as thrilling as celebrating Christmas and birthdays simultaneously. It appears this struggle will persist unless significant changes occur. An intriguing aspect of this situation is their noticeable shift toward more progressive policies. This shift was evident on Tuesday when Democratic Socialist Zohran Mamdani emerged victorious in the New York City mayor’s primary. While the left emphasizes election integrity, questions arise about whether Mamdani’s win was truly fair.

Mark Penn, a former pollster for Clinton, has considerable expertise in political campaigns. He shared his insights with Laura Ingraham on Fox News Channel on Thursday, offering intriguing thoughts on Tuesday’s outcomes. According to Penn, the primary process was “manipulated” to favor Mamdani. He remarked to Ingraham,

“This scenario poses a significant issue, creating widespread concern in New York about possible next steps and securing a candidate for the general election. It’s important to remember that these primaries were not straightforward.”
