NBC News host Chuck Todd isn’t exactly known for groundbreaking journalism. He’s continuing his pattern of being notably behind the curve, as shown by his latest commentary on the Democratic Party.
During a discussion with former CBS News anchor Charlie Rose, Todd explored whether the opposition party remained a left-of-center entity or if it was veering more to the left after President Trump’s significant win in the November elections.
What Todd discovered is shocking … only to him.
“I believe this is their identity challenge. Currently, it’s essentially a group of individuals unified by their dislike for Trump, correct?” explained the ex-“Meet the Press” host.
“And that’s served them well in ‘20, but imagine trying to create a big tent that had AOC and John Kasich in it, right? You know? Or Liz Cheney and AOC,” Todd continued. “You sort of got to rip a hole in the middle, right, as you’re trying to stretch that tent.”
