New Jersey man Ishaan Sharma gets pummeled after instigating fight on Frontier Airline flight

He took the black-eye flight.

A man from New Jersey ended up with a severe black eye and a court date following an unprovoked mid-flight attack that went dramatically wrong, according to reports.

Ishaan Sharma, aged 21 from Newark, reportedly attacked Keanu Evans without a clear reason as their Frontier Airlines flight from Philadelphia neared Miami-Dade International Airport, as per WSVN.

Just before Sharma allegedly seized Evans by the throat, the victim recounted that the 21-year-old, seated one row ahead, was muttering odd phrases and making death threats.

“He was doing some, like, dark laugh like, ‘ha ha ha ha ha.’ And he was saying things like, ‘you punt, mortal man, if you challenge me, it will result in your death,” Evans recounted to the outlet.

Sharma became irate when Evans pressed the assistance button and called for help from Frontier staff.

Video circulating online allegedly showed Sharma standing over Evans and grabbing him by the throat before the tables quickly turned.

Evans can be seen serving up Sharma several heaping servings of in-flight knuckle sandwiches as threw haymakers to the now cowered instigator.

“Let him go! Stop, let him go,” unidentified passengers pleaded with Evans as he more than adequately defended himself against the creepy assailant.

Mugshot photos show Sharma with a huge shiner and cut over his left eye.

Evans also suffered a couple of scratches on his face but expressed regret over having to dole out midair justice.

“It makes me feel bad because I don’t want people to get the wrong idea about who I am as a person,” Evans lamented to WSVN.

Sharma was taken into custody at Miami-Dade and is charged with battery, according to the sheriff’s office.

Attorneys for Sharma claimed the Newark man was “meditating” and that Evans was somehow upset by the silent practice that was supposedly occurring behind him at the time of the altercation.

“My client is from a religion where he was meditating,” defense attorney Renee Gordon said, according to the Daily Mail. “Unfortunately, the passenger behind him did not like that.”

Frontier Airlines did not respond to The Post’s request for comment.
