The newly decommissioned Marine One helicopter found a new home with the U.S. Secret Service.
In a video shared on X on Wednesday, Secret Service Deputy Special Agent in Charge Troy Sarria revealed that the renowned aircraft, a Sikorsky VH-3D, is currently being utilized for special agent training at the Rowley Training Center in Maryland.
Over the last 50 years, Marine One has flown every U.S. president and vice president.

“It’s a genuine piece of presidential and Secret Service history,” Sarria said.
Agents who are assigned to the president’s or vice president’s detail will benefit from the opportunity to train in a practical, realistic environment due to this new enhancement.

“We can provide the basic special agent classes with more comprehensive and improved protective training,” Sarria stated. “This represents a further advancement in enhancing the Secret Service’s training capabilities here at the Rowley Training Center.”
