Officials in Virginia said an unauthorized individual attempted to enter Joint Base Langley-Eustis on Thursday.

A person made an attempt to access the military base at Hampton, Virginia, early on Thursday, as reported in a Facebook post by officials from Joint Base Langley-Eustis.

The individual was taken into custody at the military base, and no injuries were reported.

“Currently, there is no evidence suggesting any threat to national security or the base itself. Security personnel at the installation apprehended the suspect at the location. At present, there are limited details regarding the situation, and further information will be shared as the investigation continues,” officials stated on Facebook.
