The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency has canceled a statewide AMBER Alert for a child abducted after a double homicide in Auburn.
On Friday morning, police arrested 41-year-old Aaron Dontay Williams on suspicion of double homicide and kidnapping, according to OA News.
The situation emerged as Auburn police officers conducted a welfare check at approximately 2:30 p.m. on the 1200 block of Samantha Court. According to Assistant Police Chief Michael Harris, upon entering the residence, officers discovered the deceased bodies of Tyeisha Williams, aged 34, and Zynniya Wright, aged 13.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency stated that another child, 3, was missing from the home. ABC 9 reports that the child has since been found safe.
