As many as six individuals exited the vehicles, reportedly equipped with bats and other objects, before they confronted one of the cyclists and purportedly attacked him.

Police said the 51-year-old man had been in an argument with the group before he was chased.

He was bashed and left in the driveway of a stranger’s house before he was taken to hospital with arm injuries.

The cyclist is currently too unwell to speak with police about the incident.
