There’s a high-profile debut on Paramount+ this week, but sadly, it’s not the second season of MobLand.

Guess who’s back in action? Dexter has returned, and it’s time to spread the word. The first two episodes of Dexter: Resurrection have become available for streaming on Paramount+. Set just a few weeks following the events of New Blood, this spin-off focuses on our beloved serial killer, portrayed by Michael C. Hall, as he trails his son Harrison (Jack Alcott) to New York City. However, the Morgan duo quickly discovers they cannot run away from their tangled past.

Plus, Batista’s (David Zayas) back!

On another note, regarding MobLand, Paramount+’s YouTube channel has recently shared the debut episode, allowing you to stream it at no cost! What lies ahead for the future of MobLand? Is there a chance we’ll see a second season? Here’s the scoop on everything we know.

How Many Episodes Are There of MobLand Season 1?

The first season of MobLand consists of ten episodes.

Is MobLand Airing A New Episode on Paramount+ This Week?

Unfortunately, the answer is no. MobLand won’t be releasing any new episodes anytime soon. The season finale, titled “The Beast in Me,” aired on June 1 on Paramount+.

Who’s In The Cast of MobLand?

The series stars Tom Hardy, Helen Mirren, Pierce Brosnan, and Paddy Considine. MobLand also features Joanne Froggatt, Lara Pulver, Anson Boon, Mandeep Dhillon, Daniel Betts, Geoff Bell, Janet McTeer, Jordi Mollà, and Toby Jones.

Has MobLand Been Renewed For Season 2?

You know it! In June, Paramount announced a Season 2 renewal for MobLand.

MobLand was one of those incredible moments where Chris McCarthy came to us with the vision of creating the next great mob series, and after traversing the UK countryside in a quest to land Guy Ritchie, we both came to the realization that we knew the exact formula,” 101 Studios CEO David C. Glasser said in a statement. “With the extraordinary talent of Guy, Ronan, Jez, and our incredible cast, we brought that vision to life.”

No official release date has been announced, but there’s historically been a fairly substantial delay between seasons for Paramount+ shows (although many of them were due to the 2023 writers/actors strikes as well as the busy schedules of the high-profile casts). Per Men’s Health, production on the first season of MobLand started in November 2024 and concluded in March 2025.

It’s safe to say that MobLand won’t be back with new episodes in 2025. Based on the above info, our best guess for MobLand’s Season 2 premiere date would be late 2026 or early 2027.

Where To Watch MobLand Online:

You can watch MobLand on Paramount+, which is available for as little as $7.99/month or $59.99/year. But good news! From now until July 13, you can get two months of Paramount+ for just $0.99/month for your first two months.

Paramount Plus Premium (formerly known as Paramount+ with Showtime), which includes a CBS live stream, is also an option for $12.99/month (or $119.99/year).

You can also add Paramount Plus Premium to your Prime Video or Hulu account for an extra $12.99/month. You can sample the platform on Amazon with a seven-day free trial.

Does Paramount+ Offer A Free Trial?

You bet! The streamer is currently offering a seven-day free trial as well as a 25% student discount.
