PINEY FLATS, Tenn. (WJHL) — Alley Kat, a well-loved restaurant in Piney Flats known for its wings and Philly cheesesteaks, has announced both a temporary shutdown and a change in ownership.

On Saturday afternoon, Alley Kat shared on social media that it would be temporarily closing in order to “review inventory, perform equipment maintenance and plan for the future.”

Shortly after the restaurant announced its temporary closure, owner LB Brooks made another social media announcement about a change in ownership.

Hello everyone, it’s with a Heavy Heart that I need to share that I am no longer the owner of Alley Kat. It’s a sad situation, and I will greatly miss our regular patrons and the community support that has always been there for Alley Kat. I want to extend my gratitude to everyone, particularly a big thank you to all my staff, who have been more like family. Wishing you all a wonderful day and God Bless.

LB Brooks

Alley Kat said the temporary closure will remain in effect until further notice. The restaurant is located at 5661 Highway 11E, Suite 5, in Piney Flats, and the business operates a popular food truck.

News Channel 11 has contacted Brooks for more information about the ownership change.
