Traffic Update: Overturned Tractor-Trailer Shuts Down I-95 in Volusia

Fuel spill closes lanes in both directions near Oak Hill

OAK HILL, Fla. – Early Wednesday, a tractor-trailer overturned following a collision on Interstate 95 in Volusia County, leading to a temporary closure of the highway, authorities reported.

The wreck happened around 4:20 a.m. on I-95 north.

The interstate was initially closed in both directions at mile marker 235 near Oak Hill; however, traffic cameras later indicated that vehicles were maneuvering along the shoulders.

Authorities said fuel leaked onto the roadway, and a cleanup is underway.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
