The Justice Department reported that in Florida, over $10 million in cryptocurrency linked to the Sinaloa cartel has been confiscated as part of nationwide drug raids initiated during the second term of President Donald Trump.

Since January 20, officials from the Drug Enforcement Administration disclosed the seizure of roughly 44 million fentanyl pills, 4,500 pounds of fentanyl powder, close to 65,000 pounds of methamphetamine, over 201,500 pounds of cocaine, and the execution of more than 2,105 fentanyl-related arrests.

According to the Justice Department, in Miami, Florida, the DEA, working alongside FBI partners, successfully seized over $10 million in cryptocurrency directly connected to the Sinaloa cartel, with the operation occurring recently.

Attorney General Pam Bondi said the DEA agents “are doing historic work to keep our communities safe from deadly drugs like fentanyl and dismantle the cartels selling them.”
