ANAHEIM, Calif. (KABC) — Celebrating its 70th anniversary, Disneyland marks seven decades of being known as “The Happiest Place on Earth,” with an array of events planned throughout the year.

The iconic park, which opened on July 17, 1955, kicked off its milestone celebration on Thursday with a special event for cast members. In honor of this significant occasion, Disney CEO Bob Iger joined the celebration by ringing the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange on Thursday morning.

As part of the year-long festivities, Disneyland Resort is offering a limited-time deal on multi-day theme park tickets, pricing them at $120 a day. Additionally, there are special promotions available for 3-day and 4-day tickets.

Plus, “Walt Disney – A Magical Life”, a new attraction based on the life of Walt Disney, opens on Thursday. It features an animatronic Walt to tell his story using his own words through historical footage and audio.
