Aiken County Man Arrested for Charges Related to Child Sexual Abuse Material

AIKEN COUNTY, S.C. () – An Aiken County man is behind bars for possessing explicit images of children.

On July 15th, 29-year-old Sean Cushman from Graniteville was taken into custody, as reported by the South Carolina Attorney General’s Office. The alleged assaults took place in January 2025.

Authorities were alerted to Cushman after receiving a CyberTipline report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). They claim that Cushman was in possession of child sexual abuse material.

Warrants state that investigators found underage male and female victims exposed on his Cushman’s computer.

He faces five felony charges for the third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor, with each charge carrying a potential prison sentence of up to 10 years.

Cushman was released on $3000 bond.

This case will be prosecuted by the Attorney General’s Office.
