Over 50 restaurants participating in Polk County Burger Week

POLK COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) — Hope you’re hungry, it’s Burger Week in Polk County.

This Friday marks the start of the second annual Burger Week, a celebration of the beloved American dish, which takes place from July 18-27.

Over 50 restaurants are participating, with some offering classic renditions and others cooking up something brand new.

As per Visit Central Florida, the restaurants involved will offer either a uniquely priced burger meal or they will craft an entirely new burger specifically for this event.

Some participating restaurants:

4 Rivers Smokehouse

Brisket Burger: Chargrilled burger topped with melted cheddar cheese, crispy fried onions, lettuce, tomato, and 4R special sauce.

Adler’s

The All In Burger- Two patties, mayo, bbq sauce, bacon, pineapple, onions, jalapenos, pepper jack, American, and cheddar cheese. $14

Arabella’s

Caprese Burger- Angus 80/20 beef patty with fresh pesto, heirloom tomatoes, fresh burrata, crisp prosciutto and arugula on a brioche bun.

Big Tom’s Diner

Southwest Burger: A classic half-pound burger topped with cheddar cheese, chipotle aioli, tortilla strips, lettuce, and tomato, priced at $9.99. This includes fries and slaw.

Jazzy’s Diner

Surf n Turf Burger: Priced at $13.99 and served with a side, this burger features a 6oz patty with American cheese, three jumbo shrimp, and homemade remoulade sauce, all on a toasted brioche bun.

LoveBird Almost Famous Chicken

Norm’s Hot Catfish- Southern catfish breaded and lightly fried in Norm’s seasoned cornmeal, dipped and shaken in Nashville Hot spices – get it HOT or NOT, topped with New School American cheese, house-made Old Florida tartar sauce, dill pickle chips.

S&L Restaurant

“Mango Explosion” Burger- Smashed patty with onion strings and then drizzled with mango habanero sauce to give it that sweet heat flavor. Topped off with provolone cheese. $10 includes fries and a drink.

Terrace Grille Lakeland

Swan City Smash- Make your way to the Terrace Grille and sink your teeth into the Swan City Smash! Two 3-oz beef smash patties, house sauce, American cheese, dill pickles, and griddled onions on a Martin’s Potato Roll — all for just $10. It’s everything you’re looking for in a bold, juicy burger.

The Purple Onion Deli & Grill

Glazin’ Summer Burger- Sink your teeth into a juicy Angus beef patty seared to perfection on our open-flamed grill. We layer on crumbled feta cheese, crisp spring mix, cool cucumber, sweet sliced strawberries, and crunchy pralines and drizzled with rich balsamic glaze and a splash of raspberry walnut vinaigrette for that perfect sweet-savory finish.
