Oasis made a thunderous return to Manchester’s Heaton Park, performing live in their hometown for the first time since 2009.

Over 70,000 fans filled the venue to witness the reunion of Liam and Noel Gallagher, joined by two well-known faces from Manchester’s blue side: Pep Guardiola and Jack Grealish.

But while both Manchester City men were clearly having a great time, they enjoyed the night in very different styles.

City manager Guardiola attended the event with his daughter Maria and was spotted enthusiastically singing along to the classic anthem “Don’t Look Back in Anger.”

The Gallagher brothers — both lifelong fans of City — gave Pep a special mention from the stage, calling him “the greatest manager of all time.” The remark elicited some groans from the red side of Manchester, but cheers from the blue.

Pep was also pictured backstage with both Liam and Noel’s children: Lennon, Gene, Anais, Donovan, and Sonny. Gene Gallagher shared a snap of the meeting on Instagram, proudly calling it the “pic of the century.”

Meanwhile, Grealish had a more emotional evening.

Accompanied by his partner Sasha Attwood, the City midfielder appeared to thoroughly enjoy the festivities. Toward the end of the night, Grealish was spotted at the VIP barrier, where he was recognised by a group of City fans.

In a heartwarming moment, he was filmed “crying his heart out,” passionately declaring: “I love City more than anything! And do you know what I love more than anything? City fans! They’re the best fans in the world!”

While Grealish’s future at the club remains uncertain, his affection for the fans certainly doesn’t.

And in a way, Pep and Jack’s night mirrored the Gallagher brothers themselves: one measured and masterful, the other raw, loud, and wearing his heart on his sleeve. Different energies – same love for the music, and for Manchester City.
