An individual from Ohio has been taken into custody for supposedly issuing threats of terrorism against agents of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and a federal official, as revealed by a representative from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) on Saturday.
Authorities state that Anthony Kelly, based in Cincinnati, is now facing federal charges due to allegedly threatening to kidnap, harm, and kill a U.S. official, disclosed Tricia McLaughlin, the DHS assistant secretary for public affairs.
McLaughlin expressed her gratitude via a post on X, saying, “Appreciation goes to our law enforcement. Such threats will not be condoned. Offenders will be detained and face the full force of the law.”
The arrest comes amid ongoing concerns from DHS about the doxxing of ICE agents. Attacks on agents have skyrocketed by 830% since January, the agency announced recently.

In a memo released earlier this month, DHS called on the Justice Department to prosecute anyone suspected of doxxing ICE agents by posting agents’ photos and personal information online or in public.
“We will prosecute those who dox ICE agents to the fullest extent of the law. These criminals are taking the side of vicious cartels and human traffickers,” DHS Secretary Kristi Noem said in the memo. “We won’t allow it in America.”
The DHS and ICE did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.
