The Jasper County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) Special Victims Unit apprehended a suspect wanted on multiple charges of sexual exploitation this Friday in Jasper County, S.C.
Luis Manuel Chavez, 48, faced five counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor after the South Carolina Attorney General’s Office received information suggesting possible online child exploitation activities.
In their search, authorities discovered cocaine and counterfeit documents at his home on Sweet William Road in Ridgeland, which included fake permanent resident cards, Social Security cards, and passports.

Chavez is now pending charges related to the fraudulent items and has been transported to a detention center.
The Criminal Investigation Division, the Narcotics Enforcement Unit and the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division also assisted in the investigation.
