() Sunday marks six months of President Donald Trump’s second term in office.

“Wow, time flies! Today is that Sixth Month Anniversary of my Second Term,” Trump wrote on Truth Social Sunday morning.

A president’s time in office isn’t often referred to as an anniversary, although eyes are usually on the first 120 days as the public and fellow politicians criticize the country’s new leader.

“Importantly, it’s being hailed as one of the most consequential periods of any President,” Trump said.

Immigration, federal spending, tariffs and war have been at the forefront of Trump’s agenda.

In the past six months, he has ramped up federal immigration arrests, dramatically decreasing the number of illegal border crossings and increasing the number of undocumented people in custody. He also mobilized the National Guard, bypassing California’s governor, to anti-ICE protests in Los Angeles in June.

Trump signed the “Big Beautiful Bill” into law, a massive spending and tax bill that Democrats attempted to shut down by stalling its passage. It made permanent tax cuts from a 2017 law he passed in his first term. The legislation also reduced Medicaid funds and increased spending for border security and defense.

A trade war ensued with Trump slapping sweeping tariffs against trading partners. A new round of tariffs is expected Aug. 1, although Trump’s self-imposed deadlines have tended to be fluid. And he’s been at the forefront of talks with Israel to end the war in Gaza and with Ukraine to end its war with Russia.

“We got a lot of good and great things done, including ending numerous wars of Countries not related to us other than through Trade and/or, in certain cases, friendship. Six months is not a long time to have totally revived a major Country,” Trump wrote Sunday.

He added, “One year ago our Country was DEAD, with almost no hope of revival. Today the USA is the ‘hottest’ and most respected Country anywhere in the World. Happy Anniversary!!!”
